I have no idea how I add a picture but all the cool bloggers have a photo or two on their ages so I’m giving it a try. Here goes.

Hey Kevin, looks like you have a lot of questions concerning WordPress. I’d recommend you check the WordPress Codex. Or, ask fellow WordPress users. You’re welcome to shoot me an email if you need some help.
As far as images are concerned, I’m sure you noticed the upload option in your admin control center. You can resize images using a little CSS, or resize them locally on your computer before linking. I prefer creating a thumbnail then linking the original so readers can choose to see the full size if needed.
